Hollande IN, Sarkozy OUT!

So Sarkozy is finally out. What a relief. I'm not a Frenchman and don't aspire to be one but my view of Sarkozy as such a destabilizing force worldwide made me get interested in this whole fiasco. While many had their reasons of supporting Hollande. Such as a new start in tackling unemployment in France, or just a new start for France. In my perspective what needed a new start was France's approach in international affairs especially in conflict areas of North Africa and the Middle East. Sarkozy's war mongering and gangsterism was unethical to say the least. So many lives have been lost in these areas as a result of wars which shouldn't have happened in the first place. Issues which needed dialogue in the first place ended up being resolved using the gun. Getting out of Afganstan early is a good start.

Another issue is the Eurozone crisis which in my view is going to get a new fresh look because it is evident that Austerity has failed dismally in Europe. Is it time German led EU policy makers accept defeat once and for all. In the first place Austerity was illogical, but senseless political; ideologies misled people into believing that their previous propaganda successes will influence the economy to take their cue. This is the real economy folks. We just need a few days to see how Hollande is going to fare in his tenure as President of The French Republic. Let's hope he doesn't disappoint. With Sarkozy now an ordinary citizen, the skeletons in his closet will surely haunt him. From the Gadaffi campaign funding saga to the de Villepin smear campaign counter accusations. I'm sure he is going to have a short holiday before the legal battles begin. Let us see how the future develops.
