Romney's international tour. Gaffes and more gaffes.
Mitt Romney is on an international tour, visiting the UK, Israel and Poland. The tour, though meant to cement Romney as more statesmanlike, it is exposing him as someone out of touch with reality and inconsiderate of delicate international issues. Now the true Romney is being exposed. Can he be a good US President? No. At least these gaffes are setting his record straight.
He left the UK with an egg in his face after he criticised the UK's preparedness for hosting the summer Olympics. He put his ego out there because he thinks he was successful in organising the 2002 winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and therefore he had the opportunity in "lecturing" the British on how it's done, but hey, Fleet Street teared him apart.
He then left for Israel. There's something about Israel, I find puzzling, concerning Americans. They find pride in how dominating they are over other countries but they behave like kids when amidst the Zionist regime of Israel. A lot of money is spent on funding Israel's weapons programmes amidst a recession and austerity back home. Just before Romney's visit, Obama actually signed a law providing about $80 million to Israel to purchase weapons. This shows how obsessed these folks are with pleasing Zionists.
While in Israel, Romney made another gaffe by praising Israel's health care system which has got heavy government involvement, more than America's, which is fairly privately-funded. So what has happened to his free-market mantra? Isn't Israel's health care scheme, a system he (Romney) would call "socialised". So "socialism" is good after all, Mitt? I smell something fishy here.
In Poland, Romney found himself in the company of a Lech Walesa. A so-called democracy icon. Mitt must have been blushed by his "endorsement" by Walesa over Obama. Or is it Walesa was snubbed by Obama when he wasn't invited to the White House at a medal of freedom presentation for someone else. Come-on Lech. For someone whose background is the unions, what is making you dine and wine with someone who wishes to eliminate the unions if elected president. Someone has lost direction here hence your endorsement of Romney is immaterial to me. Maybe it's a glow in the dark for fanatic conservatives.
This tour has exposed Romney for what he is. Someone obsessed in getting the US Presidency when he's just not ready for the job, like Sarah Palin. At least Palin didn't join because she already knew the writing on the wall. With all these gaffes, you can just compare his campaign to that of Obama's, especially his 2008's. Remember the No-Drama-Obama slogan. That's the way to do it. Hey Mitt, next year, this time you will still be officially called Governor Romney.
