Mitt Romney has finally passed the 'magic' number of 1144 delegates to clich the GOP nomination for the candidate to face Obama in the U.S. Presidential election in November 2012. Though the official confirmation will come in late August at the Republican National Convention in Tampa Florida, Romney is assured to be the one who is going to endure the bruising battle against Obama, one that is turning out to be very nasty early on.
With the economy in a fragile state, the main battle area is likely to be the economy with Obama taking early shots at Romney's record at Bain Capital. This election, in my view, is going to be very close to the end. The added dimensions of the Political Action Committees (PAC) will ensure the free flow of funds making it one of the most expensive campaigns to date. Watch this space for more info.
