Looks like the G8 summit ended as expected with a balanced result of pursuing progrowth policies and fiscal responsibility. Nonetheless it was a victory for those advocating expansionary policies because before the summit the austerity mantra was the one dominating policy circles. But as predicted before, austerity failed to rejuvinate western economies. Therefore it appears sense is now coming into the minds of these western politicians but a feeling of admitting defeat isn't something to stomach about.
At the end of the day it is what they (politicians) do which actually matters not what they promise to do.
